Let me begin by saying this game is not for the faint hearted.  It is a survival horror game that’s in the third person and it has a rating of Mature for drug reference, blood and gore, strong language, and intense violence.  Saw: The game, by Konami, was redesigned to be  another survival horror game to the tune of Silent Hill.  The obsessed Detective Tapp is in charge of “playing” Jigsaw’s game.  Along the way, he is instructed to save (or try to save) all the other characters.  Through the game Tapp is confronted with many obstacles, moral decisions, and help.  The game also has different paths you can take to come to different conclusions.  Saw, the video game, gives you some insight about what happened to the characters between the first two movies.  If you like gory games, then you will have to try this game.

      This game is, so

far, available on Xbox 360, Windows PC, and PS 3.  The graphics are VERY realistic.  Best of all, Tobin Bell himself voices Jigsaw in the game.  The guts, the deception, and the traps…it’s just what you would expect coming from Saw.  And yes, there will be blood.  Lots and lots of blood.

There have been mixed reviews about this game.  Some people are disappointed, saying that the theme wasn’t really followed and that the game was made by the wrong people.  Some people loved it, saying that the game is suspenseful with the time-based puzzle games and fun just for the traps.  I have played the game myself.  I haven’t reached the end just yet as it is a very hard, time consuming game, but so far I am pleased with it.  The characters, the puzzles, and all the traps make it fun and scary.  I guess some people want it to be EXACTLY like the movie, but that would be pretty boring, I think.  You would know exactly what to expect and how it ends.  Maybe we should cut Konami some slack, especially since this is the first Saw game made.  Overall, great game so far, I give it a 4/5 … Lots of secret passageways and different ways to KILL or DIE.  What more could you ask for?
